Being five in Second Life

------

It's funny to be five at fifty-seven...
Nostalgic of the long-lost SL heaven,

Nostalgic of the long-lost SL youth,
Nostalgia at age 5? It's the truth.

Lost Gardens of Apollo is no more,
And Svarga does not match it, that's for sure!

And missing the old uncluttered look of 123...
With sound controls at bottom (where they should be!)...

The childlike (childish?) trust in omnipotence
Seems miles and aeons, perms and edits hence.

With Zweifel, restarts, Ruth and screens,
With more would-be's, and more have-been's,

What's Second Life, if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare? *

And feel the morning breeze to lap the shore,
'Cause time is precious; ain't have it anymore.http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

It's funny to be five at fifty-seven...
Nostalgic of the long-lost SL heaven.

So, how can I regain it? make amends?
I know! There's still friendship! There're friends!
